    National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke Awards the Society for Neuroscience $270,000 Grant for Three-Year Training Program
    The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) was awarded $270,000 from the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) for Foundations of Rigorous Neuroscience Research, a three-year scientific rigor training program focused on the "sociology of science."

    Joseph S. Takahashi Receives $500,000 Gruber Neuroscience Prize for Pioneering Work on the Molecular and Genetic Basis of Circadian Rhythms in Mammals
    Takahashi, of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, is best known for his group’s discovery of the Clock gene in mice, which is a master regulator of circadian rhythms in mammals.

    2019 Brain Prize Awarded to French Neuroscientists for Outstanding Research Into Small Vessel Strokes in the Brain
    Aiming for treatment they have spent more than 30 years describing, understanding and diagnosing the most common hereditary form of stroke, CADASIL. For this, the four French neuroscientists are now receiving the world's most valuable prize for brain research – the Lundbeck Foundation Brain Prize, worth 1 million euros.
